Questions
What is an AI action?
A summary of a video costs one, and so does the first question you ask about a video that day. Every further question about that same video is free, up to 15. Coming back to a summary you already made costs nothing. Transcripts are not AI actions at all.
Do I need an account?
Not for transcripts — guests get 2 a day with no account at all. AI features need a free account, including on the free plan, because otherwise there is nothing to count the actions against.
What happens when I run out for the day?
Everything you already made stays open and readable — reopening a saved summary costs nothing. Your allowance comes back at midnight UTC. Pro raises it from 2 actions a day to 50.
Monthly or yearly?
Monthly is $9 USD and you can stop any time. Yearly is one $69 USD charge a year, renewing until you cancel — the same plan for $39 less over a year.
What are the limits on Pro?
200 transcripts a day and 50 AI actions a day, with AI on videos up to 4 hours. There is also a fair-use ceiling of 60 new videos an hour, which keeps the service usable for everyone — opening a transcript you already have does not count against it.
Can I cancel, and can I get a refund?
Cancel any time. Cancelling stops future charges and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Within 30 days of a payment we refund it in full, no questions asked. Refund Policy
Is the iPhone app included?
No. The Saido iPhone app is a separate product, still in development, and it is not sold on this website. A plan here covers the transcript tool only.
What if a video has no captions?
Then there is nothing to build a transcript from — the tool reads the captions a video already publishes and does not transcribe audio.
How long can a video be?
A transcript works at any length. AI features — summaries and questions — work on videos up to 4 hours.
What about the iPhone app?
The Saido iPhone app is a separate product and it is still in development. It is not sold on this website, and a plan here does not include it. When it launches it will be sold by Apple through the App Store.
