Terms of Service

1. Who we are

Saido is operated by Dmytro Serhiiev, an individual entrepreneur registered in Ukraine, trading under the brand name “Saido”. Contact: [email protected]. Our full registered address is available on request.

2. Agreement & eligibility

By using Saido you agree to these terms. You must be at least 16 years old to use the service.

3. The service

Saido is an iOS app and companion website that transcribe, structure and let you chat with voice notes and meetings. The website also hosts a free YouTube transcript tool. Features may change as the product evolves.

All outputs are generated automatically by software. Saido does not provide human-delivered services, consulting, or manual transcription.

4. Your content

You own what you record and write. You grant us only the license needed to process it in order to provide the service to you. You are responsible for your recordings and for complying with consent laws where you make them.

5. Your account on the website

The iPhone app needs no account. The website has an optional one, used only for the free transcript tool: you enter your email, we send a one-time sign-in link, and there is no password to choose or lose. Keep access to that mailbox — whoever can read it can sign in as you.

An account is not required to use the tool. It saves the videos you opened to your account instead of just your browser, and raises the fair-use cap described in §6. You can download everything we hold about you, or delete the account and its saved list, from your account page at any time; deletion is immediate and cannot be undone.

6. Fair use of the free tools

The transcript tool is free and has a daily cap so it stays up for everyone: 2 videos a day as a guest, 5 a day with a free account. Opening a video you have already opened that day does not count again. An hourly cap sits on top of the daily one to stop scraping. We may lower these limits, or block access, if the tool is being scraped or resold.

AI features — a summary of a video, in the language of the video or in another, and questions about a video — are counted as AI actions against your account, and the daily allowance of your plan is listed on our pricing page. The first question about a video costs one action and further questions about that video the same day are free. They need an account, including on the free plan, because otherwise there is nothing to count them against. Creating extra accounts to get around the allowance is not allowed.

Sharing: you can create a link that shows a transcript, and optionally the summary made for it, to anyone who has the link. The link is unguessable, you choose what it includes, you can set it to expire, and you can revoke it at any time from your account. Anyone with the link can open it while it is live, so treat it as public. Sharing a transcript does not give you or anyone else rights in the underlying video.

You may not: record unlawfully, abuse or scrape the free web tools, work around the caps by creating multiple accounts, attempt to reverse engineer the app or API, or use the service to violate anyone’s rights.

7. Paid plans on the website

Paid plans bought on saidoapp.com apply to the web transcript tool. They are a separate purchase from the iPhone app and do not include access to it.

The plans, their prices, their billing intervals and what each one includes are listed on our pricing page. Prices exclude applicable taxes, which are calculated at checkout.

Paid plans renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled.

You can cancel at any time from the billing portal linked in your payment receipt, or email [email protected] and we will do it for you. Cancelling stops future charges, and you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.

Refunds for website purchases are covered by our Refund Policy: 30 days, no questions asked, refunded in full.

8. Subscriptions on iPhone

The Saido iPhone app is not yet available. When it launches, subscriptions bought inside it will be sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, not by us. Their price, any trial and the renewal terms are shown by Apple at purchase, and Apple’s terms govern that billing. Nothing on this website sells or includes an iPhone subscription.

9. AI output

AI-generated notes, summaries and chat answers may be inaccurate. Verify anything important. Saido’s output is not professional advice.

10. Third-party content

Transcripts generated from YouTube videos belong to the video’s owner. Use them lawfully.

11. Intellectual property

Saido, its logo, and its software are owned by Dmytro Serhiiev. You may not copy or redistribute them without permission.

12. Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The service is provided “as is” to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived by contract.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time — cancel a website plan as described in §7, cancel an iPhone subscription in Apple Settings once the app is available, and delete your website account from your account page.

14. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. This does not take away the mandatory consumer-protection rights of the country you live in — those apply to you regardless. EU consumers can also use the European Commission’s Online Dispute Resolution platform.
